About the event
A 7-session parenting intensive series for people with children who identify as bi/multi-racial, mixed, racially ambiguous, or "other". During this journey, you will experience:
- Evolve in racial consciousness so you understand how to support your child's positive racial identity and healthy sense of self
- Digest, assimilate and apply racial knowledge to expand your understanding and refine your parenting behavior(s)
- Receive coaching enabling you to walk with new learnings and be able to move through current race-based parenting challenges
- Be edified in community along with parents struggling with similar challenges and seeking to situate their children to successfully navigate their raced experience more effectively.
This is for you if:
- You have a child who identifies as bi/multi-racial, mixed, racially ambiguous, and/or other
- You’re ready for self-exploration in order to increase awareness of the impact of your racial identity on your parenting
- You're able & willing to be vulnerable and sit with discomfort
This is not for you if:
- You do not have the desire or capacity to understand white as a color, culture and consciousness, and recognize how these show up in your life, your parenting and the life of your child
- You prefer passive rather than active learning
Dates: 11/4, 11/18, 12/2, 12/9, 1/6, 1/13, 1/27

A note on pricing:
We recognize and acknowledge that our proximity to white as a color, culture, and consciousness is an advantage, because of this we offer 5 price points. Your learning in this experience has already begun. A part of the learning is your fee selection based on your analysis of your relation to white as a color, culture, and consciousness.Â
For people with less proximity to white (people who’ve been systemically disadvantaged by racism)
For people with more proximity to white  (people who've been systemically advantaged by racism)Â
Here are some examples to support your process: A Black-appearing woman has less proximity to white as a color, however, because of being a CEO at a US-based Corporation, she has more proximity to white as a culture. Considering these aspects of her relationship to white as a color and a culture, she might select a mid-range price. A White-appearing Native man has high proximity to white as a color.  Being raised and rooted in his Native culture places him with less proximity to white as a culture. Considering these aspects of his relationship to white as a color and a culture, he might also select a mid-range price.
Considering all of this, please choose the pricing that best works for you and reflects your proximity to white as a color, culture, consciousness.Â
